MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – “Sometimes I wish I could leave, sometimes I wish I could stay here for another 20 years. Sometimes I like being with my players, and sometimes I don’t want to be with them. I have to improve in that respect; it will be tough, but now I’m focused on the next game.” Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said this, speaking about the latest League Cup defeat against fourth-tier Grimsby and the upcoming Premier League match against Burnley.
Amorim reiterated his opposition to the sale of Mainoo, who has been linked with Roma and Napoli in recent days: “I want Kobbie to stay. He has to fight for a place, but we need him. I understand that the players who aren’t playing right now are disappointed. Everyone will have the same opportunities to play; we have to fight during the week,” he added.
