LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Second day of the Premier League and second injury for Arsenal. After Kai Havertz’s knee problem against Manchester United, Bukayo Saka limped out of the Emirates Stadium on Saturday after scoring the second goal in the Gunners’ 5-0 win over Leeds. Tests have revealed the English winger has a hamstring injury that could keep him out for around a month.
Saka will certainly miss the match against Liverpool, scheduled for Sunday at Anfield (5.30pm), as well as England’s two World Cup qualifiers against Andorra (6 September) and Serbia (9).
Another question mark surrounds Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian, who also went off prematurely against Leeds, has not yet been ruled out of the match against Liverpool, but he apparently left the Emirates with a shoulder in a bandaged position. These absences could force manager Mikel Arteta to reconsider his plans, despite the Spaniard having a deeper squad than last year, which includes Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
