VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – A 21-year-old Italian man was seriously injured early Thursday morning in a motorcycle accident in Pembroke. Police said that at around 5:30 a.m., the man was riding a Kymco Agility motorcycle along St Andrew’s Road when he appeared to lose control and slammed into a concrete barricade.
The impact left him badly hurt, and the road was closed to traffic from both directions for some time. Emergency responders administered first aid at the scene before transferring him by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital. Medical staff later confirmed that he had sustained serious injuries. Magistrate Monica Borg Galea was informed and appointed to lead an inquiry into the incident. Police investigations are still underway.
