ROME (ITALPRESS) – The nominees for the Kopa Trophy, the football award established by France Football to recognize the world’s best Under-21 player, have been revealed. In addition to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, the clear favorite to win, Juventus player Kenan Yildiz is also on the list, coming off a season that saw him score 12 goals in 52 appearances. Former Juventus and Roma player Dean Huijsen, signed from Real Madrid after an excellent season at Bournemouth, is also a candidate.
Other nominees include Pau Cubarsì (Barcelona), Ayyoub Bouaddi (Lille), Désiré Doué (PSG), Estevao (Chelsea), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Rodrigo Mora (Porto), and Joao Neves (PSG). The women’s candidates are Michelle Agyemang (Arsenal), Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid), Wieke Kaptein (Chelsea), Vicky Lopez (Barcelona), Claudia Martinez Ovando (Olimpia).
