ROME (ITALPRESS) – Sunderland have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of Granit Xhaka. The BBC reports that the deal is worth around 13 million pounds (approximately 15 million euros) plus 4 million in bonuses.
The Swiss midfielder will travel to England in the next few hours to undergo a medical and sign a three-year contract. Xhaka, who has also been linked with AC Milan in recent weeks, will be Sunderland’s eighth summer signing, following the arrivals of Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diarra, Matthew Burns, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, Chemsdine Talbi, and Simon Adingra.
