Al Ittihad join Monaco in race to sign Paul Pogba

PARIS (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – A return home or a golden exile in Arabia? Paul Pogba seems to have narrowed his choice to two possible destinations. The 32-year-old French midfielder, released after terminating his contract with Juve and who has not set foot on the pitch since 3 September 2023, had been proposed to Monaco in recent weeks and the Principality had given a positive response: negotiations had begun with Pogba more than happy to compete with Ligue 1, in search of a shirt for the 2026 World Cup.

In recent days, however, French media report, negotiations have become complicated due to contractual issues and aspects related to image rights and Al Ittihad, the reigning Saudi champions where his compatriots Benzema and Kantè already play, are trying to get involved. At the moment, however, the Saudi club cannot make any concrete moves because they are struggling with internal governance problems, a situation that offers Monaco the chance to close.
