ROME (ITALPRESS) – Cape Verdean Josimar José Évora Dias, known as Vozinha, is returning to Colo-Colo. The 40-year-old goalkeeper, thanks to his many crucial saves at the World Cup, will continue his career in Chile after his contract with Portuguese second division club Chaves expired, and after being linked with numerous clubs around the world, including Leo Messi’s Inter Miami.
After a series of rumors, his agent confirmed contact with Colo-Colo, although it was Aníbal Mosa, president of the Chilean club, who finally confirmed the transfer. “The first thing is to confirm that Vozinha will be a Colo-Colo player,” Mosa said before the start of the Chilean league match against Deportes Limache.
“We have an agreement; the final details are being finalized, but we already have confirmation from his representatives and his agent. We reached an agreement based on a proposal we presented,” the manager confirmed regarding the Cape Verdean goalkeeper’s situation. Vozinha also became a social media star during the World Cup, reaching a record 29.5 million followers.
