Turin to host the 2028 Conference League final

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Juventus Stadium in Turin will host the 2028 UEFA Conference League final. The decision was officially announced during today’s UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, which positively assessed the bid submitted by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in June, in cooperation with Juventus and the Municipality of Turin. The bid also involved the Piedmont Region and, for hospitality-related matters, Federalberghi Torino.

Juventus Stadium has already hosted several major UEFA international events: the 2014 Europa League final between Sevilla and Benfica, two matches during the 2021 Nations League Finals (Belgium-France and the third-place play-off between Italy and Belgium), and the 2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League final between Lyon and Barcelona.

The FIGC is therefore confirming its significant investment and commitment to hosting international football events. The 2028 Conference League final joins two other competitions that Italy is already set to host in the coming years: the final tournament of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 European Championship in 2029 and UEFA Euro 2032, which Italy will co-host with Türkiye.

“The awarding of the 2028 Conference League final to Turin is excellent news and once again confirms UEFA’s appreciation and confidence in Italy,” said FIGC President Giovanni Malagò. “Major international events are an extraordinary opportunity to promote our country and, above all, represent an investment in the future of Italian sport. Turin has everything it takes to be a major European sports capital, and Juventus Stadium is a venue worthy of hosting a UEFA final. This is an important recognition for the city, the club and the entire Italian sports system. Hosting major events means creating value, leaving behind infrastructure and expertise, and fostering a new culture of sports event management. Italy has demonstrated that it knows how to do this, and UEFA’s decision is further confirmation of that.”

The UEFA Executive Committee also officially announced the venues for several other finals:

  • UEFA Champions League: 2028 – Munich; 2029 – Barcelona

  • UEFA Women’s Champions League: 2028 – Lyon; 2029 – Cardiff

  • UEFA Europa League: 2028 – Bucharest; 2029 – Belgrade

  • UEFA Conference League: 2028 – Turin; 2029 – Budapest

  • UEFA Super Cup: 2027 – Amsterdam; 2028 – Astana

  • UEFA Futsal Champions League: 2027 – Biel
