A year ago, he decided to return to the club where he grew up to play consistently and convince Ancelotti to bring him to the next World Cup. The former Barcelona and PSG striker—who hasn’t been called up to the Seleção since October 2023—is currently recovering from surgery on his left knee, which he underwent after playing the last few league games with a torn meniscus in an effort to help the team secure survival. He is expected to return to action in early February.
