Rashford stings Manchester United “Is in no man’s land”

LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Manchester United is “in no man’s land,” and to get out of it, they need a plan that’s followed through to the end. This is the view of Marcus Rashford, who grew up with the Red Devils but left Old Trafford last January, joining first Aston Villa and then Barcelona.

Speaking on the podcast “The Rest is Football,” Rashford offered his analysis: “If you look at any team that’s been successful over a period of time, you see that they have principles that every coach or player who arrives has to align with or add something to. At United, we’re hungry to win, so we’re always trying to adapt and sign players who fit into this system. But it’s a reactive approach. If your direction is constantly changing, you can’t expect to win the league. It’s true, we’ve been far below what we consider United’s standard. But if you stop and think for a moment— which I’ve been able to do, especially in the last six months— what do you expect? People say we’ve been in transition for years. But to be in transition, you first have to start the transition. And it seems to me that in reality it hasn’t started yet,” Rashford criticized. “To start a transition, you have to make a plan and stick to it. And that’s the point, because if things don’t go well, the fans demand change. I have the feeling that we’ve had too many different coaches, with different ideas and strategies to win, and in the end you find yourself in a no-man’s land.”
