EINDHOVEN (NETHERLANDS) (ITALPRESS) – Peter Bosz is still looking for his first Champions League win with PSV Eindhoven. Tomorrow, the Dutch coach will face Antonio Conte’s Napoli. The Italian manager is a point of reference for many, including Bosz himself.
“What do I think about Italian football? The passion of the people is fantastic, and there’s always something beautiful to see in Serie A,” Bosz said in his press conference.
The PSV coach also spoke about some familiar faces in the Napoli squad, such as David Neres and Noa Lang. “I gave David his debut at Ajax — he came from Brazil, he’s a great player. As for Noa, if you don’t know him, you might have a stereotypical image because of his tattoos and the fact he’s a rapper. But I know him well — he’s kind, social, and very engaged with his teammates. He may not be the captain, but he’s been a leader for PSV over the past two seasons. I expected him to play more, but it’s always difficult for a foreign player to adapt to a new league. I spoke to him recently — he told me he’s training very hard. He’s very technical and will definitely get his chance. Why isn’t he playing? I don’t have to give advice to Conte — he’s a fantastic coach. As I said before, new players need time to adapt.”
Bosz also mentioned Ivan Perisic, who knows Conte very well. “I’ve spoken to him — I know he played under Conte for a long time, both at Tottenham and Inter. I’ve already faced Conte when I was at Bayer Leverkusen, and I know how hard it is to go up against him. What would I take from Conte? His style of play — his ability to adapt his teams to play with four, three, or five at the back.”
