STOCKHOLM (SWEDEN) (ITALPRESS) – Graham Potter is the new coach of Sweden. He succeeds Jon Dahl Tomasson, who was dismissed following the defeats against Switzerland (0-2) and Kosovo (0-1) in Group B of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Scandinavians are still in contention for third place, and Potter’s contract expires at the end of the qualifying phase, in mid-November, and could be extended for the potential playoffs.
If the former Chelsea manager manages to lead Sweden to the World Cup, his contract would be extended again. This gives Potter a new opportunity after being sacked as manager of West Ham in the Premier League on September 27.
