EINDHOVEN (NETHERLANDS) (ITALPRESS) – The Netherlands will be without Jerdy Schouten for the next World Cup. PSV Eindhoven announced that the 29-year-old midfielder, formerly of Bologna, suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the match against Utrecht.

Schouten is expected to be sidelined for at least six months, ruling him out of the World Cup. Over the past two years, he had become a regular call-up for Ronald Koeman’s squad and also started six matches at Euro 2024, where the Oranje reached the semifinals.
