Marseille, De Zerbi: “I have the strength to stay here for another six years”

MARSEILLE (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – Roberto De Zerbi isn’t leaving; in fact, he’s “doubling down.” The Marseille coach, under scrutiny after their early exit from the Champions League, spoke at a press conference on the eve of their Ligue 1 away match against Paris FC. “I have the strength to stay at Marseille for five or six years. That’s because I love it: it’s my passion. What bothers me is the lack of consistency, the feeling of helplessness. These are defeats that affect you, but we have the strength to bounce back, as we always have, with our human and sporting qualities. With two more wins, we would see things differently,” said the Italian coach. “Last year there were other difficult moments. Together we managed to overcome them and we will continue to do so. It’s not just the defeat against Brugge, but the lack of consistency. I was the coach of Marseille and I still am. I led the day’s training and I will be on the bench tomorrow,” De Zerbi added.
