LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – In the last two transfer windows, it seemed like the transfer window was on the verge of closing, with Napoli among the most interested teams, but instead Kobbie Mainoo will tie his future to Manchester United. The 20-year-old midfielder, who has regained consistency with the arrival of Michael Carrick, is expected to extend his contract, which expires in 2027, with a significant salary increase: according to the Guardian, Mainoo’s gross salary is expected to rise from €1.5 million to €7 million per season. “We’re very close, negotiations are at a good stage,” confirmed Carrick, under whose guidance Mainoo also rejoined the England national team.
