Manchester City acquire Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a big transfer fee

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND (ITALPRESS) – Manchester City have announced the signing of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.

“The England international has signed a five-year contract,” the club said in a statement.

The 23-year-old began his career at Newcastle United before joining Nottingham Forest in 2024, where he quickly established himself as a key player at the City Ground.

A highly dynamic box-to-box midfielder, Anderson is renowned for his strong tackling and creative passing, qualities that have made him one of the Premier League’s most promising young talents.

“City are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the squad they have is incredible, with world-class quality in every position,” Anderson said. “As soon as I found out they wanted to sign me, I was absolutely determined to make this move happen. As a footballer, you want to test yourself at the highest level, and being at City gives me that opportunity. It’s a club built to win trophies and compete at the very top. That’s exciting for any player. I’m absolutely delighted to have been given this opportunity, and I’m determined to repay the faith Manchester City have shown in me.”

According to British media reports, the transfer fee is believed to be around €135 million.
