LA VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Malta’s economy expanded by 5.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, reaching €5.5 billion, according to provisional figures from the National Statistics Office.
Growth was driven mainly by the services sector, which contributed 4.1 percentage points to economic activity. Key sectors included accommodation and food services (+16.8%), transport and storage (+16.1%), and financial services (+10.6%). In contrast, agriculture and industry posted slight declines.
