VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – A Maltese man reportedly set himself on fire Sunday evening in Marsalforn, on the island of Gozo, after an argument with an Italian woman, who was also injured in the incident.
According to Maltese press reports, the man poured a flammable liquid on himself before setting the fire. The flames also affected the woman, who reportedly suffered burns.
Police officers and medical personnel responded to the scene and provided assistance to the two injured people.
According to sources cited by the Maltese press, both men suffered extensive burns. Their conditions are currently unknown.
The Maltese man is already known to the police.
