MALTA (VALLETTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Over the past four years, Malta Police have seized around half a tonne of cocaine worth an estimated €30 million, marking a significant blow to organised crime, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà said.
Speaking on the national television station, Gafà described the seizures as evidence of a strategic shift toward targeting drug trafficking networks rather than individual possession.
He noted that more than 60% of cases investigated last year were linked directly to trafficking activities, highlighting an intensified enforcement focus.
