BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Nico Williams’ renewal with Athletic Bilbao has shocked Barcelona, who are now called upon to take action to give Flick a winger. According to the Catalan press, at this point the first choice automatically becomes Luis Diaz, the 28-year-old Colombian from Liverpool: both the player and his entourage have made it known that they are ready to do anything to land at Camp Nou but in light of the tragic death of Diogo Jota, Diaz himself has frozen all negotiations for now.
Plan B is called Marcus Rashford, the 27-year-old English striker leaving Manchester United: his valuation is around 45 million euros but it is a price that is destined to drop given that the player is not part of Amorim’s plans, and a new loan after the one at Aston Villa is not even ruled out.
Among other things, Rashford has reportedly expressed his willingness to lower his salary. On hold, however, are the talks regarding Denzel Dumfries: in Spain they confirm that Jorge Mendes has proposed him to the Blaugrana given the 25 million clause valid until July 15 for transfers abroad, but given the delicate financial situation, Barça wants to be sure of being able to register goalkeeper Joan Garcia and a possible attacking winger before going for the Dutchman from Inter: a decision on this matter should be made next week.
