LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Fresh from a renewal and coming off a season with 29 goals and 18 assists in the league and cups culminating in the Premier League victory, 32-year-old Momo Salah still sees retirement a long way off. In an interview with “ON Sport”, the Egyptian striker admits that if he had not extended his contract with the Reds, which expires on June 30: “I would have gone to Saudi Arabia, but then we concluded the agreement with Liverpool. I don’t know what will happen, but I’m happy here in Liverpool and I’ll stay here for the next two years. After that I’ll see what to do”.
Saudi Arabia itself remains an option (“I’m still in contact”) but there will be time to think about an experience in the Middle East. “I think I can play until I’m 39 or 40. But if I feel the need to stop before then, I will. I’ve already achieved many goals”.
