VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ian Borg, has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Lebanon, expressing deep concern over recent Israeli attacks. Borg reiterated Malta’s solidarity with the Lebanese state and its civilian population.
“The latest escalation in Lebanon is deeply concerning, particularly for its severe impact on civilians, at a delicate time for regional de-escalation. We urge an immediate cessation of hostilities to prevent further civilian harm and destabilization,” Borg wrote on X.
“We reaffirm our solidarity with the Lebanese government and support the ongoing efforts to defend the country’s sovereignty, including the complete and effective disarmament of Hezbollah,” he continued.
