CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Ministers of Electricity and Finance, reviewed energy projects and measures to strengthen economic sustainability. A key focus of the meeting was a 200-megawatt wind power plant project in the Gulf of Suez, which will help increase the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix to 45% by 2028—surpassing the original target of 42% by 2030. Additionally, to bolster the power grid, a contract was signed for a new 500 kV transmission line designed to deliver wind-generated electricity to consumption areas.
