Egypt, al-Sisi aims to boost local production and attract investment

CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with General Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abu Bakr, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), to review the organization’s development strategy and the enhancement of its production and technological capabilities across both the civil and military sectors.

Abu Bakr outlined the progress made in introducing advanced technologies, opening new export markets, and implementing development projects in various African countries, in line with the “Egypt Vision 2030” framework. He also highlighted the AOI’s contribution to strategic projects in the fields of public transport, freight, and light mobility, as well as efforts to expand partnerships with the private sector and international companies.

Al-Sisi emphasized the need to deepen local production, facilitate technology transfer, attract investment, support the national industrial sector, and boost exports. Finally, the President set the goal of transforming the AOI into a platform for industrial integration—one capable of leveraging production capacities, private-sector expertise, and international partnerships to strengthen Egypt’s competitiveness.
