Ederson to leave Manchester City, Donnarumma Guardiola’s top pick

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Ederson‘s future at Manchester City remains up in the air. According to The Guardian, the English club does not consider his departure a given: Pep Guardiola, in fact, would only be open to a transfer if the Brazilian goalkeeper communicated his desire to leave and received a suitable offer.

If the 31-year-old decided to move on, City could evaluate Gianluigi Donnarumma, currently at Paris Saint-Germain. The 26-year-old is reportedly available after Luis Enrique chose Lucas Chevalier, who arrived from Lille to take over the starting spot between the posts.

Regarding Ederson, Galatasaray has reportedly increased their contacts. Guardiola, however, clarified: “He didn’t come to me saying he wanted to leave or that he had an offer. All the players here are ours, and I want them. What will happen by the transfer window closes in three weeks, no one can know.” Meanwhile, City have already strengthened their goalkeeping department with the acquisition of James Trafford from Burnley, a deal worth over €30 million.
