(ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – “Liam Delap is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to this injury,” said Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca after the 2-0 win over Fulham, commenting on the physical setback suffered by the 22-year-old striker.
Delap, who joined the Blues this summer in a deal worth around €35.5 million from Ipswich Town, was forced off in the 14th minute and replaced by George. He is likely to miss four or even five Premier League matches and at least two Champions League fixtures: against Bayern Munich (September 17) and Benfica (September 30).
