Fresh from his return for the El Clasico, the Real Madrid full-back complained of discomfort, and tests revealed “the presence of a loose joint in his right knee.” Carvajal will undergo an arthroscopy and, according to Spanish media, will be out for a month and a half to two months. Xabi Alonso is thus left with only Trent Alexander-Arnold, also recently returned to action, at right-back.
