ROME (ITALPRESS) – Brazil has applied to host the 2029 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) announced this today. Spain, according to the Spanish press, is also interested in hosting the event but the Football Federation (RFEF) has not so far confirmed this news.
CBF president Samir Xaud met with FIFA president in the United States, where the Club World Cup is underway. Xaud told Gianni Infantino that “Brazil is available to host the 2029 edition of the tournament,” an official statement reads. “Infantino was enthusiastic about our proposal. Now we will work to make this happen. It would be a great thing,” added the CBF number one.
