Currently on loan at Aston Villa, Jadon Sancho is still under contract with Manchester United, but the option to extend the deal until 2027 will not be exercised, and the 26-year-old English winger will be free to sign with whomever he chooses. Having arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million, Sancho has never managed to establish himself and in recent seasons has been loaned elsewhere, first to Borussia Dortmund – reaching the Champions League final – then to Chelsea, and finally to Aston Villa. And the Gialloneri, who signed him nine years ago from the Manchester City youth academy, are reportedly interested in bringing him back to Germany for a third time.
“We’re observing many players, trying to understand who can improve us, and among them is Jadon,” DG Lars Ricken confirmed to Sport Bild. “We’re looking for an attacking player who gives us quality, who can help immediately, without shelling out unrealistic figures.” And a Sancho—long linked to Juventus and Roma in recent summers—on a free transfer could be the solution.
