LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – With a message on social media, Ashley Young has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 40, effective at the end of the season.

A Premier League champion with Manchester United and later a Serie A winner with Inter, Young also lifted a Europa League title with the Red Devils. At international level, he earned 39 caps and scored 7 goals for England.

Currently playing for Ipswich Town this season, Young has also worn the shirts of Watford, Aston Villa, and Everton during his career.
