ROME (ITALPRESS) – Arne Slot is among the candidates for the Netherlands national team’s coaching position, Sky Sports in Germany reports. The former Liverpool manager is on the Dutch Football Association’s shortlist to succeed Ronald Koeman, who resigned after the Dutch side’s World Cup elimination by Morocco in the round of 32.
The Netherlands’ next international match will be played in the fall against Germany, and if appointed, Slot could face the man he replaced at Liverpool: Jürgen Klopp.
The German is in advanced negotiations to take over the national team following the departure of Julian Nagelsmann.
