ROME (ITALPRESS) – Carlo Ancelotti is dealing with the Neymar problem in Brazil. The player has not been called up by the Italian coach for the Brazilians’ upcoming matches, which are currently in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, but he has ruled out any physical problems.
Ancelotti, in the press conference for the match against Chile, clarified his position. “No one is questioning Neymar’s qualities; here we’re talking about physical fitness. There’s a lot of competition, and I’d call it a technical choice. The various decisions are based on what the players are doing, what they’ve done, and also on physical problems they’ve had in the past,” said the Brazil coach.
