The Italian coach, who had difficulty returning to Qatar from Italy due to the closure of airspace caused by the situation in the region, arrived back late last night and also led the team’s training session.
Tomorrow, Al Sadd will face Al Arabi SC (Qatar) away in a league match. During Mancini’s absence, the team was temporarily managed by Sergio Alegre and suffered a 5–2 home defeat against Umm Salal SC.
Al Sadd remain top of the national league standings, four points ahead of Al-Gharafa SC, who are in second place and still have a game in hand.
