Egypt: Abdelatty speaks with Algerian counterpart Attaf; focus on regional dossiers.

CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the two officials emphasized the importance of strengthening the momentum in relations between the two countries and following up on the outcomes of the ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Commission, with a particular focus on economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

The discussion also covered developments regarding the Palestinian issue, the situation in Sudan and the Sahel, and the latest developments in Libya. Abdelatty and Attaf reiterated the importance of intensifying coordination among Arab nations to address common challenges and continuing cooperation within the framework of the trilateral mechanism involving Libya’s neighbors, in support of the political process and Libya’s unity and sovereignty.
