LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – While awaiting the final match of the third round—tonight’s clash between Manchester City and Norwich—the draw for the English League Cup Round of 16 has taken place.
A standout fixture is the match at Anfield pitting Liverpool against Chelsea, while Arsenal will play away at Fleetwood Town, a League Two side that has never before advanced this far in the competition. Should Maresca’s City win tonight, they will face Brighton at the Etihad Stadium in a round featuring four other all-Premier League clashes: Fulham vs. Crystal Palace, Bournemouth vs. Aston Villa, Sunderland vs. Brentford, and Everton vs. Newcastle.
The Round of 16 matches will be played during the week of October 26.
