ROME (ITALPRESS) – The first managerial casualty has occurred in France as well: Dino Toppmoeller is no longer the coach of Lens. His dismissal came after just four Ligue 1 matchdays, with a record of one win, one draw, and two losses. The club explained the decision citing “numerous discussions regarding the squad, as well as the functioning and organization of the coaching staff. As it was not possible to reach an agreement on the proposed changes, the club decided—acting responsibly—to terminate his contract and those of his two assistants. Racing Club wishes to highlight the genuine humanity and gentlemanly conduct consistently demonstrated by Dino Toppmoeller. The club also notes that the coach agreed to waive a substantial portion of his contractual entitlements.” The club further announced that “Yannick Cahuzac will take charge of the team for the away match against Monaco.”
