WASHINGTON D.C. (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – Kamel Ghribi, Chairman of GKSD and Vice President of Gruppo San Donato, has received the Global Leadership Award at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., as part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America.
The award was presented during an event honouring a selected group of international figures who have distinguished themselves in their respective professional fields for leadership, public service and their ability to generate a positive impact on society.
The ceremony brought together representatives from institutions, business, finance, academia and international civil society. Eric Trump served as keynote speaker, addressing issues related to leadership, economic growth and the outlook for international relations.
The award to Ghribi recognises a career developed across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, marked by his commitment to promoting international cooperation, healthcare innovation, public-private partnerships and models of excellence in the health sector.
The citation also highlighted Ghribi’s long-standing work to improve access to care, support training, promote philanthropic initiatives and build bridges of dialogue between institutions, businesses and international communities.

Ghribi’s participation in the ceremony forms part of his institutional mission to Washington, which includes a series of meetings with senior representatives of U.S. institutions and the American business community. The aim is to further strengthen dialogue between Italy and the United States and promote new opportunities for cooperation in healthcare, investment and innovation.
The Global Leadership Award represents a further international recognition of the path pursued by Ghribi and the GKSD-GSD Group, confirming the value of a vision based on cooperation, social responsibility and the belief that health is one of the main drivers of human progress and dialogue between nations.
