According to “Cadena Ser,” the 30-year-old Danish defender—whose contract expires at the end of the month—has reportedly accepted the club’s offer for a one-year extension; he will receive a lower base salary but stand to earn various bonuses tied to the number of appearances. Club management believes that, provided he resolves his fitness issues, Christensen can still be a valuable asset both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
