MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – As a player, he likely never received such a long suspension. As president of Andorra, however, Gerard Piqué will have to deal with a sanction of six matchdays suspension and a two-month ban from official duties for his behavior during and after the match between his Andorra—currently playing in Spain’s Segunda División—and Albacete (which ended 1–0 for the visitors).

Other club officials and staff members have also been suspended, and there will be a partial stadium closure (specifically the VIP area) for two matches.

Piqué is accused by the match referee, Alonso de Ena Wolf, of protests and threats, and more generally of aggressive behavior in the locker rooms.
