MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Tomorrow, Atlético Madrid take to the pitch and build on their excellent 2-0 victory at Camp Nou. It was a resounding victory, but Barcelona struggled to swallow it, challenging the refereeing decisions to the point of filing a complaint with UEFA.
Diego Pablo Simeone is a football man, with plenty of experience, personality, and charisma, but he also knows how to be diplomatic when the issue threatens to be tricky, like the Catalans’ protest: “I’m thinking about the match and not the referees or anything else. The closer we get to the final, the more referees have to deal with enormous pressure, but I honestly don’t think about them.”
He’s thinking about his Atletico, about Oblak’s possible recovery (“I won’t talk about the lineup, I’ll announce it tomorrow at 7 pm at the hotel”) and he’s clear about what his team must do: “We know what we have to do and how we’ll try to achieve it. Our goal is to move forward, and we’ll play to ensure we continue our adventure. We know that Barcelona is a very strong rival and that we have the same goal.”
