اتفق المجلس الأوروبي على “المناصب العليا” للهيئة التشريعية الجديدة.
وتم إعطاء الضوء الأخضر المبدئي لرئاسة أورسولا فون دير لاين للمفوضية الأوروبية، وتعيين أنطونيو كوستا رئيسا للمجلس الأوروبي، وكاجا كالاس ممثلا أعلى للشؤون الخارجية والسياسة الأمنية.
وتم الاتفاق بدون إيطاليا، وفقًا لمصادر في قصر كيجي، في إطار التصويت في المجلس الأوروبي على تعيينات قادة الاتحاد الأوروبي الجدد.
